The Best JDM Subaru Impreza Ever!
As always Japan get the best of everything! But I’m not complaining; I remember when I was so excited for the release of the first USDM 227-hp Scooby. As lease now we have some cool supercars around. The greatest Subaru ever created is the 2007 Impreza WRX STi Spec-C Type RA-R bar none.
The first thing most notice is the screaming paint job and the sweet Enkei 18-inch rims. Ah but a seasoned individual will look beyond the body and right to the heart. Gone are the Brembo brakes! Yes that’s correct, and why you may wonder? Well in their place are a set of huge two-piece
vented discs with gigantic monoblock calipers. And means serious business. These brakes can withstand a day of track abuse. In fact, these are the biggest brakes ever offered by a Japanese automaker on a factory car! Rounding out the suspension are stiffer spring and shock rates; coupled with larger anti-roll bars.
Japan sticks with the small displacement 2.0 Liter engine found in the JDM STi but adds a bigger IHI ball-bearing turbo, exhaust, and some ECU adjustments. The output now jumps to about 320-hp and 318lb-tq. The last element of the race type performance found on this factory track bruiser is apparent by the missing wing. Over 150 pounds have been shed from this car. Gone is the wing, radio, air conditioning. This car means business. Aluminum and lighter glass further add to the weight savings. And with only 300 examples being sold; you can bet that the $35k price tag will not slow down a true car collector.

That’s awesome, Subaru Impreza for the win! The weight reduction is uncanny I can’t believe they cut the AC. Some don’t like a stripped out rally car, but I love it. Great work!
The thing I like most of all in Subaru is the edge design and strong and fast engine. This is really nice.
I love the way this car sounds. From the moment you turn the keys to the time you lodge this baby in 5th. Its a true dream come tru kind of car!

Really awesome! About the thing that Japan always gets the best? I think I should agree. Right now they’re taking over races beating the German’s and the American’s.
Lovely car, I do like Japanese cars because they’re rock-solid anyways I do like cars but I myself drive a small car which fits really nicely, small cars for me are easier to handle and you can get them parked anywhere with relative easy hehe, but this car must be fun driving but I am not sure whether $35,000 is reasonable for this car or not.
I like these sporty AWD sedans that come from Japan. How did these guys figure it out how to make such performant, reliable and versatile cars all at the same time? I really hope Subaru will continue to offer us such delicious treatments in the future too.
I love the modification! I wonder what would happen if they do the same mod on the new impreza STI hatch? I think it will reduce more weight just like Ken Block’s.
Japan does not make the best of everything but I do give it to you they make some great cars. I have always been a fan of the Subaru the one that is pictured above is pretty tight I wonder how much they are running for?
