Looking at the Gemballa MIG-U1 for the first time you may either say “wow” or “what the heck?” What is the kind of car? Clearly a super sports car in its uncompromising design, but what brand is that? Believe it or not this is a Modified Ferrari Enzo. The Ferrari Enzo cost over $600,000 brand new and was the pinnacle of Ferrari motoring for many years. So what to the super rich do with the most exotic supercar? They add a ton more expensive parts! The thundering sound of the mighty 700-hp 12-cylinder engine is directed through a specially tuned exhaust system that ends in a four-pipe system with pneumatic control valves. 0-60 times are 3.2 seconds and the Gemballa MIG-U1 has a top speed of 218 MPH.
There are only 25 limited edition Gemballa MIG-U1 cars making them super valuable and exotic. I was totally impressed by a completely revised aerodynamics concept. All components are manufactured from carbon fiber to ensure high stability at a lower weight. Thanks to the active aerodynamic concept the front spoiler lip generates an additional amount of 77 lbs of downforce depending on the angle. Similarly, the newly-mounted rear spoiler can generate 187 lbs more of downforce on the rear wheels. The GEMBALLA aerodynamics concept and parts are designed to guarantee perfect road holding and track handling manners although I sure the owners rarely drive the cars. The aerodynamic package consists of many new parts including a new front bumper with spoiler lip, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler.
New air intake ducts behind the doors and the roof help to increase the power output from 660 hp to 800. Leaning to the design of Formula 1 racing car, presented to the Gemballa MIG-U1 with the far-forward-facing front and the angular rear spoiler. By a whopping 80 millimeters at the front and 100 millimeters at the rear the MIG-U1 has grown in contrast to his basic model, the Enzo in the width. The chassis combines art and street racing at the highest level. The specially equipped sport suspension can be tailored to the needs of the driver; especially if you want to a thrilling ride on the track or even a nice smooth ride to the Spa! The Gemballa MIG-U1 Enzo is equipped HSL-called electro-hydraulic height adjustment system that ensures contact-free driving allowing you to take a nice easy entrance into the garage. The nose can lift up to 45 millimeters without loss of the perfect handling.
The advanced alloy wheels were made from a solid aluminum block. Through a special forging process, the unsprung mass of a wheel has been reduced. Theses wheels carry the name Gemballa GTR Racing and have been proven to ensure maximum stability with minimum weight. At the front we find 10x19 inches rims with high performance tires in size 265/35. Out back the tires are sized 335/30 and fit on a 13x20 inch rim.In the interior too, the MIG-U1 pilot clearly feels comfortable. Here Gemballa has managed the perfect blend between luxury and racing clear. On specially designed seats the MIG-U1 driver sits and the redesigned center console and other interior parts have been wrapped in the finest leather and Alcantara. Of course all the technical amenities such as a high-end multimedia system with seven-inch touch screen, navigation, DVD and iPod docking stations are standard.
Gemballa is impressive proof that they can tune any supercar, even the most rare and exotic in the world. The MIG-U1 represents their expertise and shows Gemballa is more than just a Porsche tuner. Prices for the Gemballa tuned Enzo go for around $1 million.
