About a decade ago JUN Auto Mechanic was the talk of the Motoring World with their 1300 Horsepower Toyota Supra named Akira. This car ended up going 249 Miles per hour at the Bonneville Salt Flats. An amazing feat that still is a record today. But JUN has created a bunch of killer cars since then and they can all be easily recongized thanks to the Hyper Lemon Yellow paint job. Well fast forward to today and that amazing Supra has now been transformed into a full-fleged time attack racer.
Now that time-attack racing is once again the most popular form of racing in Japan and is catching on everywhere else throughout the world, JUN decided to jump back into the game. And since they already had a monster laying in hybernation the job was already half done. All that remained was reworking the engine for linear power delivery instead of one giagantic number. So after months of tuning and testing, the JUN Supra was ready to make its debut or actually second coming.
The 3.2 liter engine has been detuned a bit to produce a more racing friendly 800 horsepower. The heart of the Supra is
the 2JZ-GTE engine which already showcases the JUN Stroker kit increases the displacement up from 3.0 liters to 3.2 liters. The engine stroker kit for the Toyota Supra comes compete with a long stroke crankshaft that connects to JUN Forged pistons via JUN Super connecting rods. The JUN Supra stroker kit is more lightweight than the stock componets and much stronger. This equates to more power and torque. The kit is designed to withstand the high stress of the two Trust T78 turbos. But for the time attack duties the Akira Supra now rocks one large Trust T-88 Turbo. A huge Trust intercoller stands on duty to cool the intake charge which them passes through a JUN intake plentum. Total power now stands at 800 HP and 656 lb-ft of torque. This is transferred through an HKS clutch and TRD limited-slip diff.

Since the JUN Supra was designed to run 250 miles per hour, the safety modifications were already in place and meet
time attack specs with ease. The chassis is extremely stiff and the racing cage is complex. But for time attack many parts of the car besides the engine had to be reworked. Zeal Super Function coilovers were picked to handle the corners. These dampners are fully adjustable. In fact all of the suspension componets down to the bushings have been upgraded. The brake calipers have been swapped out for hard core racing units from Alcon. The kit also includes two-piece slotted discs from Grex and Endless racing brake pads to provide maximum stopping force!

On the ouside the JUN Akira Supra has an O.G. bumper from JUN which is alot better looking that that long nosed unit used inthe top speed runs. A couple of carbon fiber canards and a lip splitter were added to help with downforce. The car is further lightned with Fuki MSpec carbon fiber doors and rear hatch. Out back is a trick RE-Amemiya carbon fiber difuser along with a pimp SARD GT-wing that is of course fully adjustable and made from carbon fiber. The rims are lightweight and strong Advan RG units sized 18 inch. The tires are Advan slicks for road racing.
Surprisingly JUN decided to get away from their signiture Hyper Lemon color and went with cool metallic scheme. JUN admittedly has a ton of testing to do on this car before it becomes competative in the time attack circuit. But with their colorful racing history and bullet-proof engines, you can be assured the Akira JUN Supra will be making headlines and breaking records.
